I’m Dawn M. Rivers, a former school librarian of 20 years and a yoga teacher since 2013. I have taught more than 5,000 people yoga, breathing techniques, and mindfulness practices. And so far, I’ve trained 24 people to become as certified yoga teachers. while hundreds have been exposed to my framework at workshops, special events, and retreats.
Over the last several years, I have learned about overcoming imposter syndrome, focusing on one main offer, and crafting valuable content that connects with my community.
This summit came from what I would have wanted at the beginning of my journey as a wellness professional. I want Women of Color to have thriving, profitable businesses with resources and information to answer the questions they didn't even know they had. That’s from the librarian in me.

When & Where
The Business of Wellness Summit will run from June 15-18, 2023, with a variety of presentations to choose from each day. This event is entirely virtual, so you’ll be able to attend from anywhere in the world with internet access.

What will I learn at the Business of Wellness Summit?
The Business of Wellness Summit is all about Women of Color wellness professionals launching, growing, and scaling their businesses. There are many summits and other resources about business development, but this summit will specifically cover profitability for those in the healing field.
We’ll cover hosting retreats, pricing your services, using social media to gain customers, getting your products on shelves, and more.
What if I’m not able to attend live?
While most of the presentations for the summit are pre-recorded, there are some live elements, and the pre-recorded presentations are only available for 24 hours with your free ticket. So we encourage you to attend live if you can! We would love for you to set aside some time during the summit week to attend the live sessions, watch pre-recorded presentations, and participate with others launching, building, and scaling their wellness business.
However, you can still grab your free ticket if you cannot attend all the live sessions. You’ll have the opportunity to upgrade to the Wellness Professional Success Pack for extended access.
How do I know whether this summit is right for me?
If you’re curious about owning a profitable wellness business (yoga teachers, reiki, coaches, etc.), this event is for you! We’ll specifically discuss how Women of Color wellness entrepreneurs can profit from your business. Still, anyone who wants to get started with launching a wellness business is welcome to join us.
How long will I have access to the presentations?
Your free ticket includes 24-hour access to each of the presentations. If you need more time, you can upgrade your ticket to the Wellness Professional Success Pack after registering, giving you extended access to the presentations, premium bonuses from our speakers, and more for six months.
Will all the speakers get my email address?
No. When you register, you’ll be added to the Daybreak Yoga LLC email list so we can send you updates for the event and links to each day’s presentation. After the summit, you’ll continue to hear from us, but you can unsubscribe anytime.
Each speaker will have free resources available that you can access by providing an email address, but speakers will not get your email address unless you choose to give it to them specifically. That way, you only hear from the people you love and don’t have to worry about getting added to 20 email lists you’re not interested in.
When is this thing happening?
The main portion of the summit runs from June 8-11, 2023, with pre-party sessions happing the week of June 1, 2023. You’ll also be able to join our private Facebook community as soon as your register so that you can join in on the fun right away!
Are the presentations live?
To avoid tech glitches, give you the best possible experience, and keep things easy for the speakers, the presentations are pre-recorded and will be released at a scheduled time during the summit. However, the speakers will hang out in our private Facebook community with dedicated threads where you can connect with them and ask questions! There will also be opportunities to join us for bonus live events throughout the week.
