Dawn M. Rivers
Dawn, a former school librarian of 20 years, began her yoga journey in 1999 when she bought a Rodney Yee VHS yoga videotape. She would practice yoga in her basement as a way to bring fitness and stress relief into her life. A couple of years later, she joined a gym and practiced yoga there until she discovered a yoga studio that became her home for almost 10 years. There she found love, acceptance, and community. In 2013, she became a 200-hour certified yoga teacher through Cleveland Yoga, and in 2019, Dawn completed her 300-hour yoga teacher training with Faith Hunter at Embrace Yoga DC. She is Reiki II attuned, holds a Yoga Nidra certification and is a Meditation Instructor. Dawn hosts yoga teacher training, mindfulness and yoga workshops, collaborative projects, and a coaching academy.
